How We Give
We Proactively Give to Local Organizations
We are dedicated to maximizing impact, and ensuring that our funds are well-invested at the local level.
In order to pursue more efficient grantmaking, our Board moved away from quarterly competitive grant cycles. We now proactively reach out to local organizations in our giving communities and find ways to partner.
Our Board determines the amount and frequency we give, depending upon local needs and charitable investment opportunities.
“First, I have to express my gratitude and let you know that the Dart Foundation has been top notch to work with.”
Your grant process is straightforward, practical and easy for nonprofits such as ourselves to complete. We do our best to utilize the resources we are entrusted with in the wisest way possible, and your foundation allows that to happen without hours and hours of staff time spent on paperwork. That frees us up to invest even more time caring for the women and children who come to us for help. I sense that you are all genuinely excited to help the community and that is appreciated more than you know. Thank you!”
Lodi House (Lodi, CA)
Founded in Mason, Michigan, the mid-Michigan area has long been a focal point of Dart Foundation philanthropy.
In order to maximize our impact, our giving is conducted exclusively in the communities which serve as homes to Dart Container Corporation’s production facilities and sales headquarters.
