 Dart Foundation Donates $2,500 to Big Brothers Big Sisters
Big Brothers Big Sisters Newsletter A BIG thank you to the Plant Process Improvement Team of Dart for recommending Big Brothers Big Sisters (BBBS) for a $2,500 unrestricted grant from the Dart Foundation. "It takes resources to create, monitor and support our matches," said BBBS Executive Director Edward Hagan. "We really appreciate the Dart Foundation's investment in our programs."  Edward Hagan, Jr., Executive Director of Big Brothers Big Sisters, Michigan Capital Region, is shown accepting a check for $2,500 from Meisam Dahasht and Margaret Bedford. This money will be used for matching adult mentors with boys and girls. Research shows that 58% of kids who are involved with a Big Brother or Big Sister improve their school performance, 65% show higher levels of self confidence and 46% are less likely to begin using illegal drugs. |
